Job Classification:  

Full Time/Part Time (Hours may vary), Support Staff, Reporting to Director of Administration and Accountable to the Operations Coordinator

The House Keeper (HK), under the direction of the Director of Administration and Operations Coordinator, will provide services to the church to ensure an environment of excellence for worship, teaching, and events.

Hours: Monday – Thursday: 1pm – 10pm / Saturday’s: 8:30am – 5:30pm /  Sunday ‘s: 11:00am – 8:00pm

Responsibilities:  Receptionist

—– • Take responsibility for the locking and unlocking of buildings as needed and required
—– • Assist evening visitors at help desk on weekdays
—– • Empty trash and garbage containers from inside and outside buildings
—– • Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum bathrooms, hallways, stairs, and common lobby areas
—– • Clean and dust furniture and fixture
—– • Set up, take down and store chairs and tables as directed for external group meetings and church functions
—– • Perform minor repairs and janitorial work, such as changing light bulbs, etc., as directed
—– • Assist during special events to include setting up, maintaining and breakdown of the event
—– • Advise Operations Coordinator of potential building and grounds problems
—– • Maintain a written list of problems that you cannot address and present list to Operations Coordinator in a timely manner
—– • Report issues to Director of Administration when corrective action needs to be addressed by a vender
—– • Weekly walk the church grounds to inspect for damage or needed repairs; pick up trash, etc.
—– • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Administration or Operations Coordinator.

Requirements:

—– • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant it.
—– • Must be able to deal tactfully with and communicate with staff, volunteers, members and guests and contracted vendors
—– • Must possess sight/hearing senses that enable these senses to meet the responsibilities of the job.
—– • Must be able to manage time and  multiple task/projects
—– • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move equipment, supplies, etc., up to 50 pounds
—– • Highly organized; flexible
—– • Ability to multi-task
—– • Ability to maintain confidentiality
